New Mental Health Support Service Now Available
We are pleased to introduce a new Mental Health Social Prescribing Service, designed to support patients who may be finding life challenging and would benefit from extra time, understanding, and practical support.
Our team of Mental Health Social Prescribers, who are qualified counsellors, are here to listen, understand, and help. We recognise that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you are coping with anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, loneliness, difficult life events, or challenging social circumstances.
Unlike a traditional appointment, our Mental Health Social Prescribers can offer dedicated time to explore what matters to you and help identify the support that may make a difference. Support may include telephone triage, one-to-one face-to-face appointments, counselling sessions, signposting to local services, group workshops, and wellbeing courses.
We believe that talking through problems, sharing concerns, and finding practical ways forward can help people regain confidence and feel more in control of their wellbeing. Our aim is to empower patients with the tools, coping strategies, and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges and help move towards brighter days ahead.
If you feel you could benefit from this service, please speak to your GP practice to find out more.
