Special Cancer Support Group Session with 'Within Therapies'

Patients are warmly invited to attend our final Cancer Support Group session before regrouping in September, taking place on 21st July 10am-11.30am at Paxton Medical Group, Claughton.

This special session hosted by our care coordinators in collaboration with 'Within Therapies' will focus on "Understanding Feelings and Finding Calm", offering a supportive space for individuals affected by cancer to explore their emotions, connect with others, and learn practical techniques to promote wellbeing.

Led in a compassionate and welcoming environment, the session will include discussions around recognising and understanding emotions, calming breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and a guided relaxation practice. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and leave feeling more supported, calmer, and better equipped to manage emotional challenges.

Cancer can bring a wide range of feelings, from anxiety and uncertainty to sadness and frustration. This session aims to help participants develop greater self-awareness and emotional resilience while fostering a sense of connection and community.

As our final group meeting before the summer break, it is also an opportunity to come together, reflect on the support shared in recent weeks and take away helpful tools for maintaining wellbeing over the coming weeks, until we regroup again on 1st September.

We look forward to welcoming both existing and new members to this special session.
