Healthier Neighbourhoods PCN Supporting Commitment to Carers Conference 2026
Healthier Neighbourhoods Primary Care Network (PCN) is proud to announce that we will be supporting and attending the Wirral Carers Conference on Monday 8 June 2026, an important event dedicated to recognising, supporting and empowering unpaid carers across the borough.
The conference brings together carers, healthcare professionals, community organisations and support services to raise awareness of the challenges faced by unpaid carers and to showcase the wide range of support available to them. The event will provide valuable opportunities for carers to access information, connect with local services, share experiences and learn about resources that can help them in their caring roles.
Across Wirral, thousands of people provide unpaid care and support to family members, friends and loved ones who may be living with illness, disability, mental health conditions or age-related needs. While caring can be rewarding, it can also have a significant impact on a person's physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.
Healthier Neighbourhoods PCN is committed to ensuring that carers are recognised, valued and connected to the support they need. Representatives from the PCN will be available throughout the conference to engage with attendees, provide information about local healthcare services and strengthen links between carers and primary care.
A spokesperson for Healthier Neighbourhoods PCN, said:
"Unpaid carers play a vital role in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our communities, often putting the needs of others before their own. It is essential that carers have access to the right services, information and support to help them maintain their own health and wellbeing while continuing in their caring role. Events such as the Wirral Commitment to Carers Conference provide an invaluable opportunity to connect carers with the organisations and resources that can make a real difference to their lives. We are delighted to be supporting and attending this important event."
Healthier Neighbourhoods PCN looks forward to meeting carers and partner organisations at the conference and continuing our work to ensure that carers receive the recognition and support they deserve.
